Method of Evaluation -
Grades are based on: class participation and attendance (30%), class assignments (40%), speed writing (10%), final presentation (20%). Assessment for this course will be conducted in class. There is no final exam for this course. Learners will be expected to complete all assignments and present their work throughout the course for assessment.
There is no textbook for this course. Students should bring materials and be prepared for both hand-writing and typing assignments. Students will need to bring two (2) B5 lined notebooks with pens/pencils to every class. Students should also have access to a PC/tablet for some writing assignments. An English dictionary & thesaurus is recommended for each class and to assist in completing homework, but not mandatory.

Learners are expected to work independently as well as engage in group activities that will require discussion and collaboration to accomplish some class assignments. Attendance is especially important for intense language courses such as this one, thus students who do not attend four or more classes can expect to fail the course. This is a face-to-face course, however under special circumstances arrangements may be possible for students to learn online or students without PC/tablet access or knowledge. I look forward to teaching students who are motivated and have the desire to learn and explore.
