授業科目の内容

This course will help students to improve their band scores on the writing section of the TOEFL test. The TOEFL writing section has two parts. The integrated task involves synthesizing information from a listening and reading passage. Candidates must outline the key points made in each and then show how these points are connected. The independent task is an opinion essay where candidates express their personal views on a range of social issues and provide supporting reasons, examples, and experiences. Both Tasks shall be addressed on this course and strategies will be shared so students can understand and make improvements in the TOEFL assessment criteria. This TOEFL course will consist of skills practice for the Integrated and Independent Writing sections of the test. In addition to writing skills and test taking strategies, skills-training that directly target specific sections of the test will enhance student's note-taking, vocabulary development, and time management skills.
